You Want Me To Do What?!

I hate getting told what to do.

I hate getting orders, demands, requests etc. Every time I get told what to do, I feel like pulling out an AK47 and shooting their ass.

Why do people feel the need to butt into my life.

Fuck off out.

If people spent the amount of time and effort they spend butting into others lifes, focusing on their own lives instead, everyone would be a hell of a lot happier.

What is the point of life if you are living it based on what others are telling, demanding or asking you to do? Just doesn’t make sense.

Why do we live doing things we hate doing, every single miserable day? What is the point?

We do the miserable boring things we don’t want to do everyday because its expected from family, friends and society.

So who out there is ACTUALLY living their life the way they WANT to.

We are born to LIVE our OWN lives, yet a large majority of us never get to do that, as we are busy doing what others expect from us.

Sometimes I really resent my parents and family because I feel like they are stopping me from living my life. Instead of helping me grow, live, experience and love, they are inhibiting every aspect of my life.

I resent that they have lived their lives, but are stopping me from making my life during my most crucial years.

During their teenage and early adult years, people make mistakes which they laugh at or learn from in the future, but they will not regret them.

The only one with regrets will be me, having not made any mistakes to learn and grow from, I have also not lived.

  1. so what’s actually stopping you? Is it their criticism? it can always be ignored…or they refuse to give money for you to do what you want to do – well, you can always earn them yourself – no offense but it’s quite easy to blame the entire world for not helping you to live your life but it’s nearly always possible unless you are born in Iranian prison or something…

    • Not an Iranian prison, but an Indian family.

As a girl born In a traditional Indian family there is a hell of a lot I can’t do. Unless you are a girl in an Indian/Asian family you will never understand the circumstances and what its like.

Every culture is different and you can’t judge unless you live a day in their shoes.

      • I guess I can’t because I left my family and country quite young to exactly avoid that…I can only guess what my life would be like if I didn’t leave. I just wish that everyone had a choice, that’s all…

        • You’re right there is the choice to leave and be free, like yourself, or there is the choice to suck it up and see what happens, like me.
I can’t leave, unless I want to be disowned lol.
They drive me nuts, but at the end of the day blood is blood.

Maybe ppl around you sense that you can’t handle your own life,so they have to intervene.

    • Er no I don’t think so.

      • so why do you think they do it? just traditions or social pressure or…?

        • In an Indian family, you do what your parents tell you to lol its simple as that. We regard respect for our elders and parents highly, therefore you don’t rebel or go against there word.
If you do then you will lose their trust and their respect for you. It’s just whats expected and whats traditional in our culture.

          • I think there is a bit of a contradiction here though…your blog is very rebellious against what you are asked to do as if you have made a decision not going to do something, but you are also protective over your culture – I don’t know your family but I know my friends who belong to similar families – and the first thing is always talking and finding the middle ground, that’s the sole reason we live in a globalised world is that people have a choice, they fight for their choice and get it because they can now compare the way they live to others…let me know if you disagree…

    @Sasha-Nice question Sasha.Same thing I’m saying.

  4. What do you mean my blog is rebellious? If you mean by my thoughts and opinions that are on here, then yes they are.
That is how I feel, and this blog is my only outlet lol.
I am protective over my culture because I don’t want to portray it as negative. I love my culture, but just like everything, there are certain aspects that piss me off about it lol.
